Animal testing in the name of beauty and science. The Up for A Chat girls have gone on a road trip to Byron to find a venue for the next Awaken the Change Within 5 day intensive. They end up in a makeup and beauty shop and on the way home their conversation centres around the beauty industry. They discuss the ethics of makeup and personal care products and ingredients that are used and usually tested on animals and for the most part are harmful to humans. If you are not outraged by the end of this hour you’re not paying attention. Their hope is to inform and ask you to make a stand and become a conscious consumer when purchasing beauty products. The podcast starts with fun and laughs but ends on a very serious note – don’t miss this one.

I am often asked what I would suggest or recommend as natural remedies in the home when ailments, injuries or problems arise. This is by no means full medical treatment protocols of course, but it is some of the ways in which I have treated the following fourteen common conditions. From small babies through to adults, it is fantastic to know we can call on nature’s kitchen and my favorite essential oils to help the body on its way to recovery. I would love to know some of your favourite home remedies too! (Read More)

When was the last time you stood naked in front of the mirror and liked what you saw? Seriously think about the last time you did not knock yourself for the things you lacked and actually embraced the things you had? In all honesty it is probably a little hard to remember. It is almost like we are conditioned into finding faults rather than strengths. (Read More)

Clutter. There is nothing more debilitating or frustrating than finding you are surrounded by clutter. The home and workplace should be organized and easy to navigate. As rare as it is, even organised clutter can be overwhelming. We have a rule in our homes - if it is not useful or if it is not beautiful – get rid of it! (Read More)

When you stood in front of the mirror this morning did you admire yourself? Did you allow yourself a few moments to enjoy the beauty you possess? Or does that just crack you right up and did you focus on what you’ve always considered to be your 'bad' points? (Read More)

Hi. I'm Blake. I am a student at a school in Queensland, Australia. I am actually unable to see, so all of my other senses take a commanding station. Smell is one that I am particularly fond of, I can create pictures of people, food or scenes in my head when I smell certain smells. It is one of the greatest ways I can view this world. (Read More)
